THE PAST DOES REPEAT ITSELF. IT HAS THROUGHOUT HISTORY.

In Germany,      in the thirties.     When antisemitism kept getting worse and people were being forced to be sterilized and they were aborting babies because they didn’t live up to their idea of race perfection.      The storm was starting to blow.
The German people,      and actually people all over the world said it’s just a passing phase It will run its course and then it will get better,     THEY WERE WRONG.      The whole world was wrong.      Letting this evil flourish the German people had their country destroyed,     Europe and Asia were all but destroyed.      Over a hundred million dead,     including six and a half million men women and children whose only crime had been that they were Jewish.
This happened simply because when people saw the darkness coming they thought it would be better if they just ignored it.    PEACE AT ANY COST will never bring any peace,     only the peace of death.
Antisemitism is growing all around the world again,      along with hatred of Christians.     This darkness is real and it is growing all over the world including here in the U.S.     If you don’t think so take a look at our colleges and what’s been happening in them.
There is an election coming this fall.     This election is so important to the welfare of not only our country but also the rest of the world that I can’t even put it in words.    I’m not going to try to influence you to vote Republican or Democrat.     All I ask is that you pray first,     and not just look at that man or woman that everyone’s saying is so great.     Someone who says things because they know that is what people want to hear.     Look for that one who stands up for what is right,     even if their not liked.     And pray about them.
The evil in Germany could have been stopped at the beginning,     people could’ve said no this is wrong.      But they didn’t.     Instead,   they looked at all that they thought Hitler was doing,     instead of the way he was doing it,     and why.
We have a president now who doesn’t tell us a bunch of lies.     He is actually trying to do what he promised to do when he was running for president.     Unusual I know,     but isn’t it kind of great?      He is obviously not a politician,     and definitely not a diplomat.     I think he has with the Lord’s help,     done some good.     He has done this against opposition that has been unrelenting and terrible.
I know this,      if we are confronted with such evil and we do nothing to stop it.   Than we help it to grow.
Two thousand years ago there was  Man who stood up against all the darkness in the world.     He was definitely not politically correct and they crucified Him.
And that was when His light truly began to shine.     Because He wasn’t just a man,     He was the Son of God,   God in the flesh,     Jesus Christ our Savior.     And His light is still shining in the world,     is it shining in you?

Finally,   brethren,     be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God,     that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,     and having done all,     TO STAND.    (Ephesians 6:10,13)

So,   will you stand with Jesus against this darkness?   Or will you close your eyes and just go along.
Jesus loves you and so do I,     my name is Irv.
UNITED IN CHRIST
P.S.
I wrote this three years ago.   Now take a good look at what is happening in our country.   Is it to late,   have we went to far down the road?   I don’t know.  All I know for certain that this is a war we need to be fighting on our knees.   To all this evil and darkness overwhelming our country.   Our Father in heaven,   Through His Son,   Jesus Christ is the only answer there is.

WE ARE IN THE WORLD, BUT WE ARE TO BE SEPARATE FROM THE WORLD.

(The Lord says)   In an acceptable time I have heard you,     And in the day of salvation I have helped you.
BEHOLD,      now is the accepted time;     BEHOLD,     NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.
(Who they were in Christ,     and where we need to be,     and how to get there)
We give no offense in anything,     that our ministry may not be blamed.     But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God:     in much patience,     in tribulations,     in needs,     in distresses,     in stripes,     in imprisonments,     in tumults,     in labors,     in sleeplessness,     in fastings,    by purity,     by knowledge,     by longsuffering,     by kindness,     by the Holy Spirit,     by sincere love,     by the word of truth,     by the power of God.
As dying,     and behold we live;     as chastened,     and yet not killed;     as sorrowful,     yet always rejoicing;     as poor,     yet making many rich;      as having nothing,     yet possessing all things.
(Being separate from,     but being a witness to the world)
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.     For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness?     And what communion has light with darkness?     And what accord has Christ with Satan?     And what agreement has the temple of God with idols?      FOR YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD.     As God has said:
I will dwell in them And walk among them,      I will be their God,     And they will be My people.
Therefore
O Corinthians  (Americans)!     We have spoken openly to you,     our heart is wide open.     You are not restricted by us,     but you are restricted by your own affections.
Come out from among them And be separate,     says the Lord.     Do not touch what is unclean,      And I will receive you.
I will be a Father to you,     And you shall be My sons and daughters,     SAYS THE LORD ALMIGHTY.
Therefore,     having these promises,     beloved,     let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit,     perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
(2 Corinthians 6:2-7,9-12,14-  7:1)

The reason I put America in there is because I believe across the rest of the world,     Christians are now living the way it is described in these verses,     And americans haven’t had to.     We are fat spoiled and lazy.     I’m not talking about working twelve hours a day or what kind of physical shape were in.     I’m talking about our attitude toward the Lord,     sin,     and the world.
Christians have gotten so caught up in this political correctness that they are making it a part of their faith.
We need to get back to fundamentals,     we need to get back to the word of God.

WOW, IS THIS GOOD NEWS OR WHAT? With all the bad news we’ve been having we need this one.

If anyone is in Christ,     they are a new creation;     old things have passed away;     behold,     all things have become new.
Now all things are of God,     who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,     THAT IS,     that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself,     not imputing their trespasses to them,     and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Now then,     we are ambassadors for Christ,     AS THOUGH GOD WERE PLEADING THROUGH US:     we implore you on Christ’s behalf,     BE RECONCILED TO GOD.     FOR HE MADE HIM WHO KNEW NO SIN TO BE SIN FOR US,     THAT WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM.
So we are always confident,     knowing that while we are at home in the body  (The body of Christ which is the church)  we are absent from the Lord  (Not home with Him yet).     For we walk by faith,     not by sight.     We are confident,     YES,     well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.     (2 Corinthians 5:17-21,6-8)

Won’t it be wonderful when we go home to be with the Lord,      I can’t wait to see my Savior,   and to see heaven.     But as long as the Lord has a purpose and use for us here,     here is where we need to be.     He knows when its time for us to go home.
And while we are here as His followers we represent Him.     Everything we do will reflect good or bad on Him.     People are watching,     and what you do might affect where they spend eternity.     That’s a lot I know,     believe me I know.     But it is simply the truth.
But there is very,     very good news that goes with this.     God is also watching and He gives us the Holy Spirit to help us  (John 16:7),     and the One who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world  (1 John 4:4).      In Christ,   we are a new creation.   We have that truth.   All things are new and were no longer bound by sin (2 Corinthians 5:17).  What we say,     how we act,   all that we do,   whether it’s in public or at home,     being followers of Jesus Christ,     reflects Christ through us to others for good or for bad.     And if you think no one is watching you’re wrong,     and the Lord is certainly watching.
We are ambassadors to the world,   for our Savior,     Jesus Christ.   We are His light in this darkness,     HIS LIGHTHOUSES.
Jesus loves you and so do I,     my name is Irv.

DON’T LOSE HEART, this is all temporary. TRUST AND BELIEVE, HOPE.

But even if our gospel is veiled,     it is veiled to those who are perishing,     whose minds the god of this age  (The devil)  has blinded,     who do not believe,     lest the light of the gospel  (The good news)  of the glory of Christ,     who is the image of God should shine on them.     For we do not preach ourselves,     but Christ Jesus the Lord,     and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.     For it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness,     who has shone in our hearts to give the light of knowledge of the glory of God in His Son Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,     that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.     We are hard-pressed on every side,     yet not crushed;     we are perplexed,     but not in despair;     persecuted,     BUT NOT FORSAKEN;     struck down,     but not destroyed-     always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus,     that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.      For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake  (Dying to ourselves),     that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.     So then death is working in us,     but life in you.
And since we have the same spirit of faith,     according to what is written,     I believed and therefore I spoke,     we also believe and therefore speak,     knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus,     and will present us with YOU.     For all things are for your sakes,     that grace  (God’s undeserved love),     having spread through the many,     may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
Therefore we do not lose heart.     Even though our outward man is perishing,     the inward man is being renewed day by day.     For our light affliction,     which is but for a moment,     is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,   (Amen Lord,   thank You)   while we do not look at the things which are seen,     but at the things which are not seen.     For the things which are seen are temporary,     but the things which are not seen are eternal.   (2 Corinthians 4:3-18)

NO TITLE

I spoke to you about what the Lord has put on my heart about writing a very difficult blog.     I have been struggling with this since Sunday,      I have tried to run from it,     but the Lord won’t let me.
I am not eloquent enough to say what I want to say.     So I’ll let God’s word,     I hope,     speak to you as it has to me.

Do you not know that unrighteousness will not inherit the kingdom of God?     DO NOT BE DECEIVED.     Neither fornicators,     nor idolaters,     nor adulterers,     nor homosexuals,     nor sodomites,     nor thieves,     nor covetous,     nor drunkards,     nor revilers,     nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.     AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU  (I was in that group,   definitely).     BUT YOU WERE WASHED,     BUT YOU WERE SANCTIFIED,     BUT YOU WERE JUSTIFIED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS AND BY THE SPIRIT OF OUR GOD.
(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

The foot of the cross is open to anyone who comes looking for forgiveness,     ANYONE.     Jesus died for us all so any who will believe can receive forgiveness and life.     Because we all sinned and deserve death.     And when we come to Jesus and ask Him to take our sins from us and forgive us our sins,     HE DOES.     And it doesn’t matter what they are.     it doesn’t matter if you’ve been a thief or a drunkard,     who you’ve had sex with or whether you’ve been a homosexual or a lesbian.    Nothing you’ve done before matters,     you are forgiven.     And He comes into our hearts and we have a wonderful relationship with Him.
But light can’t have a relationship with darkness.     You cannot live as a homosexual,     or a lesbian,     or a thief,     or a drunkard,     or an adulterer,     or in fornication and have a relationship with Jesus.
In the body of Christ,   we have no right to shut the door on anyone who comes looking for redemption,     who comes looking for Jesus.     If the door is shut on them it would’ve been shut on us.     But at the same time,   we can never let that behavior be a part of the body of Christ.     And any church that does is going to suffer and have great difficulty.
Society,     the media,     the world is trying to make everyone believe that homosexuality is normal.     And that sex between children is alright.     This is being taught in our schools and through the media even in our homes.    And it breaks my heart and I know it is breaking our Saviors heart that there are even some churches who are falling to this deception by the enemy.     This is an attack from the enemy of our souls,     from the devil to steal our children.
Where can they go for the truth if they’re not hearing it in the church?
I have struggled with this,     it has been a heavy burden laid on my heart.     And I know it is something that no one wants to hear about.      Many will say I’m being judgemental.     But I hope some of you will see my heart and that the Lord is in this.
I don’t know how many people read these blogs?      Probably not very many,     and there will probably be less now.     I only hope that some will see the Lord’s love in what they read.     If you see a blog that says no title,     it will be about this.     I believe the Lord has a lot more to say about it.     There is a lot of scripture that speaks to this.      The Holy Spirit brought this scripture to my mind,     I think because it says that it doesn’t matter what we’ve done before Jesus.     But after Jesus,    we are cleansed from who we were.     If you could read in your Bible from 1 Corinthians 6:15-20,    you might be able to see a little more clearly what I believe the Lord is trying to say.     God bless,     I am praying for all those who read this.
Jesus loves you and so do I,     my name is Irv.

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE

If anyone sees their brother (or sister) sinning a sin that does not lead to death,     they will ask,     and He (the Lord) will give them life for those who are committing sin not leading to death.     There is sin leading to death.     I do not say that you should pray about that.     All unrighteousness is sin,     and there is sin not leading to death.   (1 John 5:16-17)

This is speaking of believers who are sinning.     Its not speaking of those who have not come to Christ yet,     So you can still pray for them,     Please do.     Because without our Savior Jesus Christ,    there is no redemption.     Without the blood of our savior Jesus Christ,     there would be nothing to cover our sins for us,     we would be naked and filthy before our God.
This is speaking of our brethren,    our brothers and sisters in Christ.     If a brother or sister is doing something we know to be wrong,   to be sin.     Than we need to pray for them and to talk to them.   Not judging them but loving them.
Sin leading to death for a believer is after they have known the truth and asked Jesus to be Lord of their life,     completely turning there back on the Lord.     Denying Him in all that they are doing and embracing sin without fear or remorse.
This is what I believe John is telling us and what the word teaches.      You can also look in Hebrews,   (Hebrews 6:4-8).     The first time I read this it scared me to death.     But if you sin and have a repentant heart and turn from that sin you will be alright.
Jesus loves you and so do I,     my name is Irv.
P.S.
I Believe the Lord has a blog for me that is going to be very difficult to write.     It is a burden that the Lord has put on my heart.     It is probably not going to be very popular and I would really appreciate your prayers on this.
I am also fasting and praying on this.    Thank you and God bless.

FATHERS DAY, are you missing out?

Water Walker

Fathers day,     this Sunday.     How many children are growing up in this country,     and all over the world who don’t have a dad to celebrate this day with?
I know Fathers day is a uniquely american holiday,     that is one of the things that make our country so special.
But isn’t it sad that so many children are missing out on that very needed relationship?     And it isn’t just sad for the child.     its also sad for all the men who are missing out on this fundamental part of life.
I have been in love,     and I hope I’ve been loved.     But I’ve never felt the joy that I felt just going and seeing my eight year old daughter at a play in her school when she smiled at me because she was happy that I was there.     It still gets me just talking about it…

JESUS IS A LOVE LETTER TO THE WORLD FROM THE FATHER. Is Christ, through you, His love letter to the world?

You are our epistle (Letter) written in our hearts,     known and read by all people,     clearly you are an epistle of Christ,      ministered by us,     written not with ink but by the Spirit of the LIVING GOD,     not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh,     that is,     OF THE HEART.   (2 Corinthians 3:2-3)

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ,     than you are His letter to the world.     When they read you what are they reading?
Jesus Christ,     is our heavenly Father’s love letter to the world.     So in whatever the world reads in you as a follower of Jesus Christ,     the most powerful and most important thing has to be love.
Love does not mean tolerance.     If our children are naughty we don’t tolerate it,     but we also don’t stop loving them.     We just teach them that they cant act that way because if they do then they will be punished.     Even though we love them very much,     and always will.
That is what the Lord is teaching those in the world,     all of us.     He is teaching us that sin is wrong and is killing us spiritually,     eternal death.     And since everyone has sinned  (Romans 3:23)  we all would suffer eternal death.     If it wasn’t for our Father in heavens gift of love,     His Son,     our Savior Jesus Christ.     That would be everyone’s fate.     He came and gave His life so we could have life,      everlasting life.      That is love.
So if you are a follower of Jesus Christ?     When people see you,     are they seeing Him in you,     are they seeing His love.     Love is not weak,     love is stronger than anything or anyone.     If you want to get an idea of the kind of love I’m talking about read 1 Corinthians 13.     It is only thirteen verses but its one of the most powerful chapters in the Bible.

We are forgiven. AND THEY ARE FORGOTTEN!

Water Walker

We have an amazing God.    As were forgiven we are also called to forgive others.   It’s not a request,     it’s a commandment.     But the Lord didn’t tell us we had to forget  did He?     The Holy Spirit will help you to forgive someone  no matter what it is.   We have to be willing,   but He will help us with the rest of it.   But forgetting,     I don’t think so.    Some of our memories are cherished,   The Lord knows that and that is why He let’s us retain them.     Unfortunately we also keep some of the bad ones.
But here is one of the amazing things about our God.   He not only has forgiven us for all of our sins,   all of the filthy bad things we’ve done in a lifetime.   He has also FORGOTTEN THEM,   COMPLETELY.    It’s as if they never existed.   They are gone,  …

FATHERS DAY, ARE YOU MISSING OUT?

Fathers Day,     this Sunday.     How many children are growing up in this country,     and all over the world who don’t have a dad to celebrate this day with?
I know Father’s day is a uniquely American holiday,     that is one of the things that make our country so special.
But isn’t it sad that so many children are missing out on that very needed relationship?     And it isn’t just sad for the child.     it’s also sad for all the men who are missing out on this fundamental part of life.
I have been in love,     and I hope I’ve been loved.     But I’ve never felt the joy that I felt just going and seeing my eight-year-old daughter at a play in her school when she smiled at me because she was happy that I was there.     It still gets me just talking about it here,     and that was 25 years ago.
I’ve enjoyed the smiles of beautiful women who said they loved me,     including her mom and my mom.     But none of them made me feel that love and joy and acceptance that the smile I got from my daughter did.     Or the tenderness and the pain I felt when she broke her leg.     None of these things make me unique,     they just make me a dad.
That is what’s so sad about what is happening all over our country and the world.     The men who are missing out on this wonderful thing the Lord has given us,     the privilege of taking care of the children He gives to us.     It’s a lot of work,     but anything worthwhile is.
I messed up at being a dad,     as much as I loved her I wasn’t there for her or her mom.     I was an alcoholic and I didn’t care about anybody but me.     What a price we pay for selfishness.
The lesson is this if you have a child love them with all your heart.     And let them know you love them by spending time with them,     it’s you that they want.
And if you have a dad who loves you,    then appreciate them.     Show them this Sunday how much you appreciate them,     and not just this Sunday.     I wish I could spend just one hour with my dad but I can’t because he is gone.
I’ll share something with you,     I used to just kind of float through life.     It was the Lord who opened my eyes and helped me to see all that I had missed in life.
And He gave me a purpose,     to help others see how much they need Him.
I wonder how Jesus celebrates Father’s day,     His Dad is the ultimate Dad.     But do you know what’s really awesome,     He shared Him with all of us.
Remember that this Sunday,     and remember how much He loves you.

BEHOLD,     children are a heritage from the Lord,     the fruit of the womb is a REWARD.     Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,     so are the children of one’s youth.     Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them.   (Psalm 127:3-4,5)

Do you know why Fathers day is so uniquely American?      Because in all of the other countries of the world they don’t celebrate being a father on a certain day.     They just live it every day.     In that,    we could maybe be more like them.    All though I do love being an American,     and fathers day is probably one of the reasons.
But being a dad doesn’t make us special.     Our children are simply a reward from our Father in heaven,     they are whats special.
Oh and I almost forgot.     The only thing that has ever surpassed the joy I felt at my daughters’ smile,      was the joy I felt when I asked Jesus into my heart and felt Him forgive me.     What a burden was lifted on that day.     And now I’m learning how to really love.     Who knows what the Lord has planned.     Life isn’t over yet!
Jesus loves you and so do I,     my name is Irv.
